Citymaps: Offline Map and City Guides App Reviews

I have to give this a 1 star because the app keeps crashing whenever I try launching it. I have tried re-installing the app and I have rebooted the phone, but that did not resolve the issue. I have an iPhone 4 running iOS6.

Would love to check out this app, but it keep crashing at start up. Plus now Im reading that its not useful in Canada. Only good for the USA for now it appears.

Updated app yet STILL no Canadian support. This app is entirely useless in Canada, so why even bother releasing it here?? What a waste of time & space!!

Great app ! Love the look, the features, is very helpful for finding places and giving ideas of places to go !!!

I use citymaps now instead of Yelp to find out about great places to eat - instead of looking for the best restaurant in the city, which might be 1h away, I look for great and recommended restaurants/bars around me, making decisions a lot easier. Their curated lists of 50 places to eat/drink/go out/tourist around are very good and cover a ton of cities around the world. Local users’ own lists also let you discover even more places. You can also make your own maps to refer friends to (instead of giving them just a list of names, which without the map elementrequire a lot of work when you’re actually traveling), or for remembering places to come back to. Tags would be nice, but this is already the best city-discovering + make-your-own-map app on mobile and web out there.

Love this app primarily because you can download it and use it offline. shows the pins for fine dining, hotels, entertainment, etc...it also very intuitive and the navigation is quick. Highly recommend.

The offline feature will be extremely handy, and after I requested a new city to be added, they added it within a day! That was nice and unexpected.

I just wish that it actually gave in system directions instead of directing me to another app

Love that I wont need to use valuable data or incur roaming charges when I need to access maps when travelling.

Im a Canadian and yes you can now use this app. Works fairly well although (and maybe its just me) I find it difficult to tap on, say, a restaurant to get a bit more info on it when a cluster of several businesses come up as its just difficult to tap on the one you want when there are a couple of businesses in front of that one. Other than that its a good app.

This app looks awesome, especially their offline features. Looking forward to the edition of gps directions offline being available.

Citymaps is great for travel and for exploring your own city! Making and sharing your own maps is far easier than google maps and any other map/guide apps out there (Ive tried all the ones Ive been able to find in the last few years). The web interface is also super helpful. Hopefully theyll add the ability to create itineraries!

Everything is perfect

Iam on iPhone 6, reaching to the top left corner is impossible with one hand, and app essentially depends on it.
